    The California Kid made in 1974 as a US television movie. The movie set in 1958 follows Michael McCord (Martin Sheen) and his ‘34’ Ford coupe as he takes on a small town sheriff. He generates revenue for the town of Clarksberg by issuing speeding tickets and those caught speeding who decide not to stop pay the ultimate price.

The movie quickly became a favourite with Car/Hot Rod fans. Shown only a couple of times on UK television and has not been available to buy for a number of years in the UK. Although the picture quality is not as sharp as today’s movies due to the NTSC format its well worth a watch on this PAL DVD which will play on most of today’s DVD players.
